No, PowerToys is a totally separate app, which I also use. Wintoys is a Microsoft app that can be found in the MS Store and is also a tweaking customization app that allows you quickly and easily change some settings vs manually doing them with reg tweaks and Settings menu changes etc. It's similar to Winaerao Tweaker. You can turn off those annoying Onedrive and MS 365 ads and Web ads in the start menu search and settings for example.

Anyhow I discovered the app was the cause for breaking my IR Camera as well as stopping certain Settings modules from loading and freezing the Settings App after I restored it to the default settings and everything worked again as supposed to. After spending probably an hour digging through all the tweaks I found the one causing the issue under the Tweak/Privacy settings. The Camera on/off indicator was the cause. It flashes a notice on the screen when your camera turns on or off but was breaking stuff. With it turned back off all is back to normal now and IR camera works great. Took me long enough to discover that was the cause after jumping through all kinds of hoops for nothing listening to Co-Piloy LOL.

Good to know but it has some really useful tweaks so I won't ditch it yet for one flaky setting. Same for Winareo Tweaker which is a must have in my book.

Yes, Winaero Tweaker is very popular on the forum. I like to think that not running third-party hacks is a prime reason I never seem to have any problems. :wink:

Playing it safe probably helps a lot but that's to boring for me 😉. I need large file explorer icon caches (4096KB vs default 512KB), Custom start up sounds for my machines, several useful context menu addons, minimal if no ads, 100% wallpaper quality setting on the desktop vs default 85%, Easy Recycle bin/properties access in file explorer, and many others. Although I admit that one camera setting bit me bad though, lesson learned on that one.

You didn't mention anything that's important for my own computer use. I suppose I'm boring. I just trade stocks and work on studying Windows Internals and software development. :geek:

I don't use Quick Start, too many issues with it.

Just to be clear, this is 'Quick Start' on the TV not 'Fast Start' on the PC. Frankly I can't tell any difference on the TV with Quick Start off or on. 🤷‍♂️
