Is there a best time to Activate windows?

After a recent long issue and battle with Windows activation (and upgrade) and repercussions, I went through, I was wondering, what is a good time to activate Windows?

1. before updates begin - new tablet/computer
2. during updates (could have received several already--I have)
3. or wait until all updates are completed. assuming one knows that

It would generally activate itself as soon as it sniffs the internet.

Double, double toil and trouble;

As mentioned above... Activation should be automatic.
If, for some reason it isn't, then there's the "Activation troubleshooter", built into Windows.

Lately, Microsoft has been coming out with a lot of half baked things, and breaking a lot of fully baked things.

Check the tutorials section for "Activation". But, unless you fit into to a very tiny sub-set of Windows users... there will be problems occasionally. There is no simple solution for things like this. Microsoft just needs to "get their act together".

Activation and updates are quite independent of each other.

A new tablet/computer that came with Windows 11 pre-installed should activate automatically as soon as it connects to the internet.

A clean install of the same edition (Home or Pro) on a PC that had previously been activated should also activate automatically from the PC's existing digital licence as soon as it can contact the MS activation servers.

An unactivated install will still get all the updates, activated or not has no effect on Windows Update.

I think 7:10pm on a Wednesday is the best time to activate Windows. tic.
