Is there a way to ditch the "Recommended" section of the Start screen?


For example:
Let's clog up the limited space, non expandable Start Menu with a recommendation for an insignificant item that went to the Recycle Bin yesterday...,
Why are they recommending I attempt to revisit an insignificant item that already went to the Recycle Bin???
... that's just stupid!!!

I sometimes wonder if some developers at Microsoft are being randomly selected or if they really don't realize that instead of moving forward, they are going backwards. :think:

They have an agenda..., I just think they often have their head somewhere where the sun doesn't shine when they're trying to execute their agenda!!!

Even QTTabBar has enough sense to exclude items from Recent that already went to Trash...

I've only been able to disable the stuff in the Recommended section, but there's currently no available native option to remove the Recommended section except in the Windows 11 SE (Student Edition). :(

I install Open Shell and revert back to the classic two column Windows XP start menu.

Done! Never again have to see the useless Microsoft abomination of a start menu!
