Is there any option to display the field "Date created" in the new Details pane in File Explorer?

Like the title says, The "Date modified" seems the only one to show in the new Details pane within File Explorer, but is there any other method to show "Date created" either?

Or you can right click any column heading and select to add a "date created" column as well.

Will doing that, then make it show in the details pane or just in the column bar? (Not currently at my PC)

I don't think it's even related. The details "tab" on my right click properties page.... HAS the date created.

By the way... I have no idea what details "pane" is.

I am using the tweak to get "normal" right click context menus, though...

In File Explorer, click view at the top and select "Details Pane.

Mine doesn't show date created either, only "Date Modified". Adding "Date Created" to the Column Heading didn't change the details pane for me.

I mean there's like 18 other ways to find date created.

I only brought it up because that is the screenshot @Taoufik used.

Strange. Maybe.

There must be a way to dictate what info shows in the properties displayed in the Preview/Details pane. Maybe a registry string, someone might know?

It's the old details pane that was showing Date created and was also giving the ability to edit metadata inline, unlike the new updated Details pane.

Weird part is... I never did that tutorial, yet I show all the items on the details pane.
I must have a "magic" computer.

On a side note: Every song in my Music folder has the exact same "date created" date. January 6th 2021.
So at least on my comp... for my Music... date created is useless.

I'm guessing that January 6th 2021, must be when I got the 4TB HDD, and copied my Music folder to the new drive.
Yep.... that's why all the "date created" are the same.

The "date modified" shows the dates I acquired the songs. And those dates are all different.

Also.... the Date column heading in File Explorer is the same as the Date Modified in the Details Pane.

So... it seems that "date created" is only useful on the original drive, they were first saved on.
Once you move those items to a new drive.... only the "date modified" or the Date column heading are useful.

Yeah I have had that so many times, I gave up caring. I believe there is another option in the column bar that is of better use… again I am away from my PC to look.

Unless you preserve Date created (see last paragraph below).

Date created does not mean what most people think it means or what they want it to mean. Its sole purpose is to track when a file was created on a given volume. It's a useful forensic property. For example, if a mystery file shows up a disk, it's often helpful to search the disk for all other files with the same, or close, creation date/time. That can often lead one to the source of the mystery file.

Date created is not meant to track when a picture was taken or when a Word document's content was created, even though people want it to mean that. There are separate metadata properties for that purpose, such as "Date taken" for photos and "Content created" for Office documents.

The property with the generic name of "Date" is a "smart" property. That is, for a given folder, the Date column will show the best date option it can find. If there is a useful Date property in the file, such as Date taken, it will show that. Otherwise, it will fall back to Date created.

Date created can be used, in a fashion, to track when a file's content was created by resetting the Date created back to its source value when the files are copied. Many people do that by using the appropriate switch with RoboCopy or using something like FastCopy that replicates Date created on the target files by default. But, IMO, it's too easy to forget to use such tools, so I would never use Date created for anything other than the forensics I mentioned.
