Solved Is this Computer Ready for Windows 11?!

I updated the BIOS setting on the MSI X570 ACE MEG motherboard. The system is using a 5600X Ryzen CPU. Yet Windows Update keeps saying system is not ready for Windows 11 download? Attached are two screen shots that look like everything is okay. Also, when I run the PC Health Check program it says all is well - green checks marks for everything.

Is this a bug in Windows Update or am I missing something? Help appreciated.

They are not rolling it out that fast, you can always update to W11 yourself. There is a reason it`s telling you your PC is not ready, you just have to find out what that is.

Please run the program and post a screen shot of the results.

All these boxes have to be green.

I must be really dumb, I can't get the program to download! Windows 10 with the firewall On and OFF give me the message in the attachment. Any suggestions?

You have to let windows download it, the tools are in the little box that pops up.
You gotta click to keep it. It will go to your downloads folder.

???. Totally confused on what your telling me to do. I did finally find a download link for a .zip file but when I unzipped it there was no install or .exe file? It's beginning to look like Windows 11 does not like me!

I had that happen to me with another download and I got around it but for the life of me I can't recall how I did it. I'll try to see if I can figure it out again.

When you try to download it a small box will appear up in the top right corner, you have to work with that box to let windows download and keep the download. Can`t talk now, rocket is nearing liftoff.

Try this one, it worked for me.

As I half suspected in my original post, Microsoft must have finally got around to changing their criteria on what systems are ready for Windows 11. This morning I checked Settings>Windows Update on both of the machines that had TPM 2.0 Enabled and they are now Okay for the Windows 11 update!

So... IF you're gonna take the plunge, make a full OS image backup of Windows 10... first.
Use a program like Macrium Reflect (free).









With a current backup, no matter what happens, you can always restore from the backup. With Macrium's bootable rescure media, you can restore, even if Windows won't boot.

Yes, I am a Macrium Reflect user of both the paid and free versions for many years. I make sure I have a current backup of all my systems (10 of them) so if disaster strikes I can recover. More than once a Macrium Reflect backup has save me!

Wow. Are you there?! Or just watching live.

No I wasn`t there, it was broadcast live on the tv and pc.
It (both parts, the rocket and the capsule) launched from and came back down in Texas.

Was that the one with William Shatner onboard? Saw on the news he’s been to space!
