Whoops I spoke too soon - Settings won't open! I have never seen this message before. Restart does not help. I think I will roll back to 22621.1. I wonder if this is why 22621.4 doesn't show up in WU, that they discovered one or more issues....

Seeing as we seem to have 22621.1, 3 and now 4 and some are getting nothing after 1, I conclude that MS have not got a clue what they are doing other than creating confusion with no explanation.

22621.4 doesn't show up in WU on my VM. I was planning to clean install 22H2 this weekend but holding off for now. I'll see what happens after Patch Tuesday next week

Fair enough. I'd rather use the MS ISO image which I have, and then update during the install process. I'll wait and see what Patch Tuesday brings next week

I have a problem with Windows Memory Diagnostics under 22621.4. Same as 22621.1. I've posted in one of the 22621.1 threads as well.
(snip)
If I press F1, I get a blank blue screen. Ctrl-alt-del end the program, and restarts the PC.

I also get a false CPU utilization number under Corsair iCue.

These aren't in themselves very serious, but it makes me wonder what else might be broken.

Anyone else?

Maybe too soon, but my experience may be unique. :(

Seems unlikely. I suppose that most rarely run the famous Windows Memory Diagnostic. (I ran it to check after a recent BIOS update.)

Please don't mention the superior RAM checking software that is available. I know about the common ones.

The issue with Corsair iCue (monitoring and control software) is the thing that makes me nervous.

So I went ahead and grabbed it and when I tried to install it the only option it offered was to perform a clean install which is a no go.

Edit: Ran the original 22621 installer and it upgraded to 22621.4 without issue.

After reading this thread and also not seeing the 22621.4 update available to me via Windows update, I re-ran the original 22621.1 installer I had downloaded directly from Microsoft and have been running since last week. Once it completed, it now shows me running the newer 22621.4 build (see below). The install process has always "looked" for required updates so I'm thinking Microsoft is testing that update path and also deferring anything newer via Windows Update until next week's expected regular Patch Tuesday updates where we'll see a larger increment to the build version...somewhere over 100 based on other posts I've seen. Anyway, if you don't want to wat until patch Tuesday and really want the 22621.4 build on your system, then rerun the 22621.1 installer and you'll be upgraded.

My plan is to do a clean install this time, I upgraded to Windows 11 from 10 last year. I'll use the 22621 ISO. Any updates on patch Tuesday will install then.

OK I tested the upgrade today on Virtualbox. I was offered the upgrade despite not being Windows compliant (no TPM or Secure boot support). Doing the usual AppraiserRes.dll trick allowed the install after the error about non-compliance (kind of ironic really!)

Anyway, the upgrade went smoothly, no problems. The OneDrive sync problem reported here doesn't occur for me, it's all working. Windows is showing as Version 22621.1 and no additional update is available.

Original install was Windows 10 > Windows 11 21H2.
