I uninstalled the feature enablement for Beta Channel Preview Update KB5018863 and I am now back to 22621.1095 with the Install error - 0x800f081f for 2023-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for arm64-based Systems (KB5022303)

I will wait until MS pushes out the next update for a possible fix.

I tried right clicking on my taskbar and both Task Manager and Taskbar Settings appear.

So far, everything seems to be as it should.

Since this is the build I am on, this must be the one that I built from as well.

I suspect this is the root of my issues, and I'm gonna build the 1095 .ISO and just do an in-place upgrade and go from there.

At least I now know the cause. PEBKAC! lol

I have an HP envy laptop from 2011 and after replacing its battery is stilll running and outperforming a load of even quite recent laptops --it's using a gen 6 4 core Intel cpu and has a 2.0 TPM so easy to get W11 running on. CPU bypass is a synch if you install via dism /Apply-Image.

I built the 22621.1105 .ISO file, ran it using Repair Install Windows 11 with an In-place Upgrade Tutorial as a guide for the in-place upgrade, and after reboot, I was able to successfully install this update.

6th-gen wasn't from 2011. That would be second-gen Core i series. Unless you changed the CPU.

I am running Win 11 Pro in a VM within a MacBook Pro (M1 chip) via Parallels Desktop 18 (Pro vers.) for Mac

In trying to resolve the Install error - 0x800f081f, I attempted an ARM64 build UUP Dump of Win 11 version 22H2 (22621.1105) arm64 and upon running (as administrator) the uup_download_windows (Windows Command Script) I received the following errors displayed in the command prompt dialog:

'\\Mac\Home\Downloads\22621.1105_arm64_en-us_professional_76418xxx_convert'

CMD.EXE was started with the above path as the current directory.

UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory. '\\Mac\Home\Downloads\22621.1105_arm64_en-us_professional_76418xxx_convert\' CMD does not support UNC paths as current directories.

And :

.\files\depends_win.ps1 : The term '.\files\depends_win.ps1' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

Yuo should also have an aria2 script you can run natively in macOS. Have you tried that?

Download using aria2 options create an archive which needs to be downloaded. The downloaded archive contains all needed files to achieve the selected task.

To start the download process use a script for your platform:
- Windows: uup_download_windows.cmd
- Linux: uup_download_linux.sh
- macOS: uup_download_macos.sh

Thank you for the suggestion, I will give it a try when my internet service is less overloaded.

The problem here is that you are trying to run the script directly from a UNC path. The same error would happen on a native Windows PC if I tried to run the script from a network share using its UNC path...

CMD does not support UNC paths as current directories.

...the solution would be to first map a network drive to the UNC path so you can then run the script from a drive letter.
