No matter how I search for KB5039239... I get an MS Update catalog listing in Spanish.
If I search for KB5041587 (the Aug 27th update), I get results in English.
Maybe MS is using Spain as a test case?

24H2 has been asking me to install it for weeks now. Before reading the thread, I made a backup and allowed it to install, so far my only complaint is the default Desktop and Outlook (still classic) icons and font were way big and now I'm having to change this (currently to small) and put my desktop icons back where they used to be.

You are correct. A clean install of 24H2 does not include the Movies & TV app (or Films & TV as it is named here in the UK for an en-GB install). If you already had Movies & TV in 23H2 and you upgrade to 24H2 you will still have it after the upgrade.

- fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.
UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

I tried In-Place upgrade to 24H2 on non-Insider comp with Local account...
Don't try this unless you're brave and have a fresh backup (or a Copilot+ PC ). The In-Place Upgrade actually worked. I downloaded 26100.1586 from UUP Dump, and then did the In-Place Upgrade. After it finished I check the OS Build. It was 24H2 but only 26100.1 So I went to Windows Updates...

I don’t know much about the Catalogue, but they’re cumulative security updates. I would assume you need 24H2 installed for those to do anything. Also, as @garlin mentioned, isn’t 24H2 a complete ISO and not an update?

- fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.
UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.
