Improvements​

This non-security update includes quality improvements. The following summary outlines key issues addressed by the KB after you install it. Also, included are available new features. The bold text within the brackets indicates the item or area of the change.

Normal rollout​

  • [BitLocker] Fixed: This update addresses an issue where devices with BitLocker on removable drives could encounter a blue screen error after resuming from sleep or hybrid-booting.
  • [Boot menu screens] Fixed: This update addresses the issue where early boot screens, such as BitLocker PIN, BitLocker Recovery key, and boot menu screens, render slowly.
  • [Graphics kernel] Fixed: An issue where some game titles become unresponsive after upgrading to 24H2.
  • [Memory leak] Fixed: This update addresses an issue in the Input Service that causes increased memory usage, potentially impacting performance in multi-user, multi-lingual, and remote desktop usage.
  • [Multimedia] Fixed: If you turn on multi-app mode or basic camera mode in advanced camera settings, the Windows Hello Face Enrollment might not work and show a bad camera preview.
  • [Network] Fixed: This update addresses an issue where Windows Server 2025 always shows the network as "public" on new domain controllers. It now checks for a domain controller name before using loopback addresses to ensure proper Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) binding.
If you installed earlier updates, your device downloads and installs only the new updates contained in this package.

Windows 11 servicing stack update (KB5059502)- 26100.4193​

This update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack, which is the component that installs Windows updates. Servicing stack updates (SSU) ensure that you have a robust and reliable servicing stack so that your devices can receive and install Microsoft updates. Known issues in this update​

1 Noto fonts issue

Applies to: All users

Symptom

There are reports of blurry or unclear CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) text when displayed at 96 DPI (100% scaling) in Chromium-based browsers such as Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. The March 2025 Preview Update introduced Noto fonts in collaboration with Google, for CJK languages as fallbacks to improve text rendering when websites or apps don’t specify appropriate fonts. The issue is due to limited pixel density at 96 DPI, which can reduce the clarity and alignment of CJK characters. Increasing the display scaling improves clarity by enhancing text rendering.

Workaround

As a temporary workaround, increase your display scaling to 125% or 150% to improve text clarity. For more information, see Change your screen resolution and layout in Windows.

We are investigating this issue and will provide more information when it is available.

Method 1: Install all MSU files together

Download all MSU files for KB5055627 from Microsoft Update Catalog and place them in the same folder (for example, C:/Packages). Use Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM.exe) to install the target update. DISM will use the folder specified in PackagePath to discover and install one or more prerequisite MSU files as needed.

Updating Windows PC

To apply this update to a running Windows PC, run the following command from an elevated Command Prompt:

Method 2: Install each MSU file individually in order

Download and install each MSU file individually using DISM or Windows Update Standalone Installer in the following order:

  2. windows11.0-kb5050094-x64_3d5a5f9ef20fc35cc1bd2ccb08921ee8713ce622.msu
1 This latest cumulative update includes updates for AI components. Even though the AI component updates are included in the update, the AI components are only applicable to Windows Copilot+ PCs and will not install on Windows PC or Windows Server.

If you want to remove the LCU

To remove the LCU after installing the combined SSU and LCU package, use the DISM/Remove-Package command line option with the LCU package name as the argument. You can find the package name by using this command: DISM /online /get-packages.

Running Windows Update Standalone Installer (wusa.exe) with the /uninstall switch on the combined package will not work because the combined package contains the SSU. You cannot remove the SSU from the system after installation.

Just finished My fully debloated image and now testing:
It's for Huawei Matebook D15 with AMD processor and Realtek network adapter

Testing Windows desktop:
sfc and dism show no errors

it's using about 8GB of C drive

Task Manager:
RAM: 1.5GB of 8GB
Number of Processes: 50

Everything works fine. I'm going to install some old and new apps to test it.

Anyone else notice hdr video streaming not staying enabled unless hdr is enabled? Reverts back to disabled the second i leave the hdr settings page. Maybe i am thinking this all wrong?

Edit- Paying closer attention it looks like that option is completely missing for me

What I noticed on my system is that on my LG C4 if I have Use Dolby Vision Mode enabled in the Windows Display settings app it forces Dolby Vision on in Windows desktop on the C4 even if I do not have PC Dolby Vision enabled on the C4 in its menu. In other words it disabled standard HDR10 and forces Dolby Vision for everything including the desktop. Very weird behavior.

Thanks that probably has something to do with it. I don't see any dolby vision options to disable in windows (or the dolby app) but i killed it on the monitor with no luck. Will keep going manual as usual and hope it gets better. thanks much

My HDR Streaming stays on. But my system shows "Use HDR" is "Not supported". The Streaming setting stays on between boots.

I don't see the new toolbar. I tried just CFR and not Vivetool. Is it necessary ?

The Quick Machine Recovery features is already exists in Windows 11 24H2 Build 26100.4202 (KB5058499).

You can directly import the registry keys to toggle on.

To simulate the quick machine recovery experience, use the following commands from an elevated command prompt:

  • Enable test mode:

reagentc.exe /SetRecoveryTestmode
  • Configure Windows to boot to Windows Recovery Environment on the next boot:

Reboot your device. The system goes through autoremediation of a simulated crash and reboots back to Windows.
