Didn't even notice they changed the icon to one standard icon now tell I saw your post. I had three different task bar emoji icons between three computers but now they are all the same lol.

By the way the settings switch to turn them off and on and while typing only works on my machines with this build.

I did a difference of the new file desktop.adml vs. a backup. It was an addition of an option to disable the user from setting a different location for music, documents etc. folders (in the properties). I had other gpedit errors too but I did not follow up on them.

So, did you manage to fix the issue, or do you still get the error opening gpedit?

You can manually apply the Windows 11, version 25H2 enablement package (eKB).

Using DISM tool to apply eKB package:

DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"*Path*\Windows11.0-KB5054156-x64.msu"

And using this registry keys to enable all roll out gradually of features:

> Enablement Package of features for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2

Restore enable all roll out gradually of features, use CMD.EXE and copy and paste the following command to restore:

REG DELETE "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\FeatureManagement\Overrides\14" /f

Just uninstall the "Beta" eKB package. Currently, the Feature Enablement for Dev Channel Preview Update (KB5054156) package is marked as "Beta". If Windows 11 25H2 is released in the future, there will be an "officiall, non-Beta marked" eKB package.

Microsoft may be developing new policy settings, but the development is not complete enough to load the .adml/.admx error.

I modified Desktop.adml and Desktop.admx to remove these strings and this fixed the error. Although this isn't necessary, I just got bored and figured it out.

So am I the only one who has noticed they pulled the abbreviated Time & Date format option from the taskbar settings on the RP build? Seems it wasn't to popular although I still have the option in the beta build.

It's actually nice if you want to reduce taskbar space. I don't need the year but I do like having the seconds down there so not an option in that case as it defeats the purpose.
