Dongle is 8-10 inches away from alliances.The response from the new speakers is amazing. Really pleased, it was worth the extra. The mouse is no big deal as my wireless one is supreme.I think you misunderstood his point as I think he misunderstood your earlier one mentioning you were going to connect your BT mouse/KB.
Yeah, you only need one Bluetooth dongle, but you can connect up to 7 devices to it.
As to intermittent issues - do make sure there isn't anything between the dongle and connecting device(s). Also the devices aren't too far away from the dongle. Additionally, check that the device doesn't require it's own driver. Double check instructions or the site where you got the dongle from.
