Don't click on anything in the browser. Right click on the browser icon on the Task Bar and close the browser. Then restart the computer and run a security scan.Learning to spot bogus web sites may also be helpful. If you get a window that says that Adobe Flash needs to be updated, don't click on it. If you get a window that says you have visited illegal web sites and McAfee antivirus needs to scan your system, close the window. (I've gotten that off of weather.com. And I don't visit piracy sites.) Good antimalware software, running all the time, may help, but a little caution can go a long way in keeping malware off your system.
