Solved Laptop/ SSD warm?

The other Dell 5510 thread on here was sent back as the temps were hotter than the fires of hell, I'd be sending that back for sure
With all of the threads I've lost track on what's going on. 🤷‍♂️

Quick sum up. Buys new laptop, mucks about with it, it gets hot, he mucks about with it some more, and more, and more, maybe just to see how hot it can get, who knows.
If I’ve missed anything it’s because I’ve lost track too.

Or mining for bitcoins?
With the temps they are posting they better be using the laptop in a walk-in-cooler if they want to mine bitcoins.

I have to agree with Alexey regarding heat sinks. I have had my laptops get warm in the areas of SSD and HD. So, even though I have a cooling pad I have added heat sinks and it does a great job. They are not permanent so you can remove them whenever you wish.

That's what I would do. Or take it to a shop and have them do that and leave it alone.. stop tinkering with it.

But that's me.. and well... 🤷‍♂️

Alexey2912. not to be unkind, you are just trying to do too much too fast. What you have bought is a super thin laptop with a powerful cpu in it. I am supposing that you bought this laptop for games. I could be wrong and should not suppose anything since you are a caregiver, (I am too for 17 years) you may want it for your work. The point is though the thin laptops of today get very hot if you are trying to do too much at one time. It kind of sounds from all of your posts that you are inexperienced with computers. If you must clean install and then leave it alone and try to do just one change at a time to it. See how that change works before making another. Buy a laptop cooling pad for it. I have been using one since I bought my laptop even though I do not have vents on the bottom of mine it has kept it cooler. This will only be practical for at home unless you wish to carry it with you to work. Try not to have too many programs running in the background all at once or too many web pages open all at once. It also sounds as if you need to be lots more careful online. The first thing I would learn is online safety. You really need to slow down. 3 clean installs within one or two weeks is just too much. The laptop could be faulty as others have said and maybe you should return it. Everyone here are just trying their hardest to help you. Good luck. I hope the new clean install will work for you. Just use some restraint when making changes. You are running out of time on a return window I am sure.
