Hi

have created a bootable USB that boot fine on my old thinkpad T420.

But a newer Lenovo V130 it does not show up in boot menu (F12).

is it something about UEFI or not UEFI or any good idea?

How is the USB Flash drive Initialized? If it is MBR (Legacy/CSM) or is it GPT (UEFI Bios) if it is MBR, it will not read on a UEFI Bios.
Boot into the Bios on the V130 and go to the Boot tab and see if you can add Legacy/CSM boot to the UEFI Boot.
Or Initialize the Flash drive GPT and rebuild the NTLite Flash drive.

Try this simple test:

Enter the UEFI menu, and temporarily disable Secure Boot. If your USB drive boots, this PC requires a different boot file. NTLite has an option to use the newer boot file, if that's required. Some PC's might be configured to use either the newer or older file.

Each boot file is signed by a different set of Secure Boot certs. And the new PC may have a different set of them from the factory.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T420 (released in 2011) originally shipped with Legacy BIOS (not UEFI) in its default configuration, and UEFI support was added later through BIOS updates.

The Lenovo V130 (released in 2019) defaults to UEFI boot mode, but you can change it to Legacy Support in the BIOS/UEFI setup.

hmmm.. changed boot mode from UEFI to legacy and put USB as first in order. Still no boot on USB.

edit:

Your Windows USB flash drive is not UEFI-bootable if it does not appear in the boot menu with the UEFI prefix.

But it works on old laptop. I have now chosen legacy in bios boot on V130. Should it then not work?

But you are right.. it does not show up in boot menu (F12) on v130
But it does on T420
