I have some PTFE tape and use it for tap glands and threaded joints. This one is one of those plastic screw-on joints that tightens up on a rubber washer. I think it needs a new washer. I have a selection of those but the trouble is everything in the house is very old and I feel that once I disturb that joint, it will be a 'slippery slope situation'. I might try unscrewing the joint and replacing the washer anyway ..but not today.

As do I, she was on TF for a while and then did the complete disappearing act. Very worrying, especially as she drove a fast car.
