.....Soooooo, walking into the kitchen around February 22, one minute I was upright and the next, the neurapathy took over and I went down hard. I crawled to the living room where my phone was and called my son-in-law and told him, "I fell and I can't get up!" Never thought I'd have to say those words.

Fast forward to the emergency room and diagnosis of broken outside and inside of left ankle bones ....

....Two more weeks and the boot and brace on right foot come off!

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

It's a little below average temps here this week, but that just means low/mid 40's by night and low/mid 50's by day.
It was a bright morning, but this afternoon's rain is due in an hour or so. Then it's showers most day for the rest of the week....

I went to Walmart today after visiting the plant nursery and getting a few plants for around my chicken yard.

I am going to try to play pool tomorrow night, since the doctor said I probably could. We'll see if this huge boot gets in the way or not.

I am running around the house with my Walter for security and am doing a lot better day by day

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

Yeppers! I will know one way or the other if this giant boot will get in my way.

Looks like we're going to have a bit of a team reorganization. Team Captain and one other player aren't coming back for the next session, so we need some more players. Probably three.

Can't complain about either of them leaving; they've stayed six months longer than they wanted to, so . . . both need to cut back.

This is Double Jeopardy, which means we play both 8-Ball and 9-Ball each night of play. I am almost "decent" at 9-Ball and horrible at 8-ball.

We will need to elect new team captains (one for each category). I think we have one for 9-Ball and I have volunteered to be captain of 8-Ball, since I have experience in that job.

Probably gonna get interesting tonight . . .

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.
