    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro.

I'm dual booting Linux Mint Cinnamon on a little old netbook that's incapable or running 24H2....

It's specs are so low that they're laughable, but initial impressions are that Linux Mint Cinnamon runs better on it than any version of Windows, 10 or 11. I'd rather not run an unsupported OS after 2025, Linux should extend its usable life.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

Yes, it's running 22.1. (y)

I had real problems getting any form of Linux to run on it. Well they'd all run - but not one distro had a driver for its old wifi card (rather surprising, as every version of Windows does). In the end I had to swap out its wifi card for a different one. That was not a task to be tackled lightly, this little netbook is possibly the most awkward of my PCs to service. I did it once before to upgrade the RAM and fit an SSD, and really didn't want to go through all that again...

Yeah BTDT with all the screws - went through 4 laptops - all Lenovo. Still have a P15s to keep as a spare in case lightening hits this! Did have a lot of fun with them though!!!!!
Mint 22.1 Cinnamon I am finding is far above the previous ones - Used stock wine 9.0 and successfully installed Solar Fire 9.0.25 - first time I have gotten that working on any Linux. And easy! No winetricks mods. Mint Software Mgr. Love it!!!

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven below to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro.

Yeah, I would stick w 10 if it had the support.
I have used 10 in VM on Mint - that's what I ran Solar Fire in before - but it has a lot of overhead and adds 30GB+ to the partition size so was glad to (so far) not have to use one.
