then you dont have to have too thick cables.. i know of one that ran a battery bank on 12V.. he had to have really thick cables :-)

At 12v you cannot get much power to the inverter, even with a thick cable. At 24V, it is a problem My inverters are 12Kw for a 12v battery, you would need 1000 amps.

The cables I use are about as thick as your index finger

i dont remember that setup or how much he took out on the 230Volt side to the house.
But i do remember my own car stereo setup, where i had 3000Watt of amplifiers.. i had thick cables to avoid dropping in voltage during full load
