Just a fly by, I have a expensive mess on my hands this morning.

The rehab facility wouldn't accept my Wife because she is in too much pain to do anything much in the way of therapy. So she has to go to a nursing home in the area.

Normally the first 20 days are covered 100%, however, that is only if you've been out of the hosp for 60 days. Since she was in there a month & 1/2 ago, she is now in the co-pay stage. $212 a day stage. the nursing home will not accept her until I run over there & give them a check for 2 weeks of payments, $3,145.

So I have to run to the bank in a bit, figure out where I'm going to dig this up so that she can get admitted. The social worker told me if she gets better over the 2 weeks then she can maybe get admitted to the rehab facility, but in the meantime, because of the pain limitations, they say she will be better off getting only 1 PT treatment a day. PT visited her yesterday & tried to do as much as they could & took notes. Based on the results & the notes, she got denied.

I have a busy morning ahead & I don't know what the hell we are going to do. If after 2 weeks she doesn't show marked improvement she'll probably have to come home & I'm not sure how/if I can handle that. She can't stand on her leg for about 5 - 7 weeks.

Anyway, you all take care & have a good safe day.:-)

My Wife says hi & thanks you all for the prayers & good thoughts. :-)

My nerves are shot, I have anxiety, I'm losing sleep & I'm worried about our finances. Even an extra Ativan isn't helping:(
Good day Borg, Hang in there like Bree said. We all are Praying for the both of you.♥️🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hello Bree
Good Morning Charlie :-) 🍵

Good morning / afternoon folks.

Supposed to be pretty warm today.

Even an extra Ativan isn't helping:(
Good Morning Mr and Mrs Borg :-) :coffee::coffee:

I'm sorry to hear she has to much pain for rehab. I hope her pain will go away soon so she can get the rehab going. ❤️
Darn.. that was not a tiny sum of money.. darn it is expensive over there.🫂
I can totally understand losing sleep and worrying about the situation.. Even I'm not in the same spot i am between a rock and a hard place myself so i get bad sleep and worrying all the time.
I try to take one day at the time to not get overwhelmed.. So i hope you can do the same, to keep some tiny-tiny bit of calmness between everything.

Say Hi back to your wife and a hug and some love to you both from the other side of the pond. 🫂❤️🫂❤️🫂

Good morning everyone, have a nice day.🤠☕☕👍
Good Morning Josey :-) :coffee:

UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:
fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

Good morning Marie.
Morning Afternoon Bree :-)
I need to unpack my tiny low power cluster and get that darn local AI work on that one.
Do you want a job to set up an install script for installing; Debian with HA load-balance clustering, Hermes agent, four LLM models that should run load balanced over that HA cluster? 😁

No, you say...😲 .... why not.......... Yeah not even I want to do it 😅

The snow should be mostly all gone today. I haven't had my coffee yet but perhaps after a nap I will have a cup or two. The other daughter made it back to campus safely with her bag of goodies and I hope she puts them to good use. Jim would have liked that. He actually bought her a Mine Craft accnt for doing well at school.

I managed to heft the 30 lb PC back up on top the dining room table yesterday. Other other daughter wants red fans instead of blue so I think I need to get the software for it on the MSI website. I'm thinking there is likely a BIOS update there too as there usually is with newer builds. I don't want to put too much more into it in the way of hardware because I'll be needing to carry the thing down to the basement at some point. The other two girls go back to school today. Time to catch some more shuteye and heal up some more. See u all again soon!

Why don't you ask AI to write it for you? 👿
Yeah i tried that.. It did not work as good as hoped for, the AI cant see all packages in the Debian12 repo etc.
So i made a new lazy-strategy.. Install one machine.. Install the AI agent (Hermes).. connect that one to a cloud AI.. then set up rules and make the AI install everything.. then clone that system over to the other clusters.. and then switch Hermes to run on local LLM.

Afternoon Scannerman. (y) :coffee:
Good morning, Josey. :coffee:

I'm on my first cup now and it appears to be 10:32 a.m. (I never completely trust what my PC says.) I was just typing some advice on the main stream on dual booting to someone. Blah, my coffee is cold, my oatmeal is cold. It's a hard knock life. Time to head for the microwave!
