Sorry to hear that. Me, I get 8+ hours whenever I eventually get to bed.

My body clock always seemed to work to a 25 hour day, so exactly 'when' could drift. Mid-winter with the shortest days I could easily end up sleeping through all the daylight hours!

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

Ahh it happens! Had to sort out my sister's ride from the airport back home etc, that kicked off about 5am, Was some issues with they're luggage so that took another hour longer, only about an hour and a half ago we got them considering they're flight was in at 7am ( 8.30 by the time they got out of the airport!) Not long back but im pooped for sure lol.

Isn't that a joke! One would think they would have the funds appropriated prior to starting the project. But not always the case, unfortunately.

And the timing of it all, seems to me a bit odd. I mean, why start a project like this with winter approaching?!

I just wanted to eliminate me not waking up for some reason on time and being late or something so just decided it be worth staying up and napping later, I thought later would have been an hour and a half ago but a bit late to get a kip now with it being nearly 10am, Wouldnt wanna wake up at 6pm or something crazy haha, Struggle through til about 9 or 10pm and get an early night! Yeah they didn't manage a sleep either, around 8 or 9 hours flight so not too bad. Thank you!

I don't think our winters slow building down much. The field the school stood in is quite large so only about a quarter of the site is earmarked for the care home. The rest of the site will be houses. This is the layout. The white area is for the care home.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.
