How i can make firefox let me download at root of c: at windows11?

That won't work. The root of the C:\ drive is protected, you need to use admin rights to put a file there. And you don't get prompted to use your admin rights when downloading in Firefox.

This isn't a FF thing, it's an OS thing.

Idk why you would want that but changing the owner of C:\ in (properties->security tab) from TrustedInstaller to Administrators (w/ full control) outta do it.

This is not the way to go at all and I strongly discourage doing it that way.
If you really want to save something on C: disable UAC. It should be done temporarily.

Ideally you should partition your drive and keep the OS alone on C: drive.
Create a new partition using whatever letter you like for your new drive and dump your downloads there.

I have used a C:\Temp as a default download location for Firefox since the dawn of time...
works great... or set it to the download folder MS creates when you install the OS...

Do not download to root of C:\ and Do not take ownership of C:\.

C:\ is restricted for good reason. If you can download to C:\ then so can malware!

I have a different approach: I try to keep C: for the OS only, as far as I can. My main disk is partitioned as C: and D:, and all my downloads go to D:\AATemp (the double A keeps it at the top of the listing in FExp), all of my apps and utilities are there on D:, and the caches for my two active browsers are there, too. Most of the writing and over-writing of data on this machine thus happens on D:, not on C:. I use a second internal disk for storage and backups, and externals for copies of images and important data.

I do too. I use a separate HDD to store all of my installer backups etc...
I just use C:\Temp as from the good old days of DOS and Windows early days...

I split my install to move the entire \Users tree to a separate physical drive (Using @Kari's great tutorial during Windows install), and have all my portable programs, game installs, and VMs on a third physical drive. Makes for some good parallel data access lol.

I use the default Downloads folder in my User profile on the second physical drive.

I make firefox shortcut run always as admin.
Maybe it work for firefox. I will check it father.

How i can make oparating sysyem LET ME put files at the rood of c:.
As i see if i try to copy a file from other hdd to root c: win11 let me do it.
But how i can make system let all programs do that?

I do this everytime whenever there is a new build of Windows 11 / Office 2021,

The highlighted files are just copied from a source folder and pasted into (C:) Windows 11 Pro.

When you install Frefox, you can specify which partition / folder to install it to.

After recent update to 119.0 my pop up menus became white although my other menus, like File, Edit, View and other remains dark. For example, click on upper right hamburger menu or fill some credentials when save password menu pops up, it is white although it was dark in previous versions. Is ti something done by purpose or it can be setup somehow?

It is not a big deal, just something I use to have here and want to keep it that way.
