I only worry about "bloat" when I don't have enough storage space, which has never been the case ;-)

Anyway, I like having Options installed for the features it provides to me for my KB/Mouse use, especially where you can customize for applications such as Photoshop and other apps.

I only use the Bolt App (which is still available but not supported). It shows me the charging level of my Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless Keyboard and my MX Master 3S Wireless mouse. Both work fine without Options.

According to Logitech its been replaced by the " Options-software ".
Used the k520 keyboard with the m310 mouse , with the "Setpoint-software " , worked very good , untill my mouse died , had to replace keyboard and mouse . Replaced with new k540 and a new m310 , suddenly Setpoint software did not function anymore , had to replace it with the "Option-software ".
Dont want this bloated software , so will keep it the way it is now...........

As to the Bolt Dongle when you buy any of their latest mouse / KBs (MX Master 3 S mouse MX Keys keyboard) the Bolt Dongle is also included, and the Bolt App is still available for use and not going anywhere.

Just tried this Logi Bold , it does the same as the Unifying software ( battery conditions / attaching more Logi hardware, etc. )
So , no use for installing Bold ( btw; twice more bytes , compared with Unif. soft )............ ;-)

And also, why I love my Craft Keyboard with the knob. In that aspect, the Keys doesn't have the flexibility of the Craft Keyboard, especially in apps like Lightroom and Photoshop. In Photoshop for example if I need to change the size of the healing tool circle, I can just turn the knob.

Logitech quality went way down. I bought MX Keys Illuminated and it was unusable, keys getting stuck, till space broke, sadly I lost the receipt, so $100 wasted. The more expensive accessories, the worse quality. I got $20 keyboard and mouse instead, they work 100%.

Hehe, I paid $180 new back in 2019.

As for supporting Affinity, I can't speak on that as I've never used it. I know it supports near all Adobe Products. The only issue is you're tied to Options, since as said many times, Options+ doesn't support it. And we know Options is being discontinued, so.... 🤷‍♂️

Thus far, I have none of the issues you report. Never had them with the Craft either and I've had it since 2019.

Kind of hard to see with this pic, but...,
the Keys keyboard, (top), had brighter characters on gloss chiclets,
as opposed to the Keys S keyboard, (bottom), with duller characters on matte finished chiclets...,
... I often didn't need backlighting on the Keys one...

I think you can keep using regular Options for Craft...,
just, probably no updates after a certain date though.

I'm having it out with support right now..., hang on......
