The solution is to buy Macrium Reflect X - it can browse any image made in Reflect v8 and Reflect v10 (vX).

Another solution is to use viBoot which mounts the Reflect 8 backup as a virtual drive from where you can extract the files. The .vhdx file is located under C:\ProgramData\Macrium\viBoot

There is no viBoot folder on my devices, both running MR v8.1. See: -

Ensure viBoot is installed. You have to use viBoot to boot a virtual machine from the Reflect backup file for the .vhdx file to appear from where you can copy your files.

I am a bit puzzled what the latest fix means about being for new licences.

New MR8 licences are not being issued.

Is it a fix that allows activation of anl never used but already existing MR8 licence? I have at least two never used MT8 licences in my back pocket.

If you previously created a Macrium recovery drive, then it won't boot in Secure Boot mode after installing this month's Windows Update.
If you don't use Secure Boot, it doesn't matter and your old USB drive will still work.

This month changed the security requirements for the boot file. Assuming you've never done this update drill, then it won't apply to your situation. But it's helpful to remind the Macrium 8 crowd, since the boot file doesn't always change every month.

Now it makes perfect sense. Sorry, I just did not know what SVN 11.0 was and it's connection to anything. Thanks. (I'm on Reflect X booting with secure boot on)
