I can't be absolutely sure, but it appears the latest Edge has scripting issues which causes sever slowdowns on my desktop. Wish they would stop frakking it up!!

@retiredat44 FWIW I've used the new Chromium based Edge since it was introduced. For me it's always been fast and problem free. I use Edge on both of my computers and on my Android phone. I'm currently on Version 118.0.2088.46 (Official build) (64-bit),

Maybe it wasn't in general but more using certain scripts that has the problem as I am sure scripting was mentioned for a reason.

Microsoft Edge Canary 120.0.2160.0 appears to force close within a minute of opening it, didn't confirm if it did it a second time. There was also Canary 120.2165.0 which I never used but it is what 120.0.2166.0 just upgraded from a few minutes ago. Will update post later and report if the force close still happens or not which could be a isolated issue for me only.

No one complained about it so I thought only I had the issue. Wasn't 100% sure 2166.0 fixed it because I basically went to usps.com in a new tab after opening and the entire browser crashed after 20 seconds or so. 2166.0 appears to be okay, wasn't 100% sure earlier because Windows froze, only thing working was the mouse pointer for over 30+ minutes and hitting the power button on the laptop for 3-4 seconds seems to have woke it up and I was at the logon screen and resumed the session so 2166.0 appears to be working. Wonder if it was fixed in 2165.0 or not as 2166.0 did take more than 20 seconds to download so it was probably fixed with 2165.0.

You are right about CoPilot but I never saw the sidebar opened up by default until 2167.
