    • Added support for DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction on GeForce RTX Series GPUs. Access these DLSS features under Graphics > Program Settings > Driver Settings > DLSS Override - Model Presets > “Recommended”.
  • New Graphics Settings
    • Per-app Resizable BAR controls are now available in the NVIDIA app to help optimize game performance for your specific hardware setup. Access this feature under Graphics > Program Settings > Driver Settings > Resizable BAR.
  • Additional Updates
    • Added a green dot notification badge for new features, along with hover-enabled sidebar links for quick access.

It's purpose is to support applications using NVIDIA graphics, mostly giving you optimum settings for games. If you don't have a NVIDIA card installed then it serves no purpose.

Is it me. Or have Nvidia driver QA tanked recently. Used to be AMD was known for bad GPU drivers. Looks like the shoe has changed foot. Hope Nvidia gets their act together.

Installed on multiple machines.
Had a problem with black screen when installing on Canary Build 27823.1000.
Had to install using RDC connection to work around the problem and complete the update properly.
I can reproduce the Black Screen problem every time I install the driver on this machine unless I use RDC.

Just upgraded to the new driver, but on my 4070 Super I got a black screen that wouldn't go away at the end of the install and it forced me to manually reboot my system -- something I haven't had to do in several Windows updates.

So far, it seems stable but only time will tell.....

We had the same problem with some previous NVIDIA drivers' updates. The screen just goes black and never comes back to the normal desktop.
With this driver I only got the problem on one machine when using Canary Build 27823.1000. All other builds did not have this issue.
The easy way around it is by updating the driver while connected to the PC with an RDC connection. This way I can see the driver update complete successfully.
At that point I just disconnect RDC and sign back in on the local PC and everything looks fine.

The problem with the forced reboot is that you don't see when the driver update is complete.
Using RDC you can see when the update is completed successfully. 😉

It could still have loaded part of the driver but not completed the update. 😵‍💫🤷‍♂️
