  • DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation Available Now
    • Update to DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Frame Generation on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Select “Dynamic” mode to intelligently adjust the number of generated frames during gameplay to a target frame rate to balance frame rate, image quality and responsiveness.
    • New DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation 5X and 6X modes on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs increase 4K frame rates in path-traced titles. Paired with NVIDIA Reflex, they generate additional frames with minimal impact to responsiveness.
    • DLSS 4.5 Frame Generation model update on GeForce RTX 50 Series and GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs enhances in-game user interfaces by incorporating additional engine data available for some games, improving visual quality and clarity of static user interface elements.
    • For optimal image quality and peak performance when using ShadowPlay, the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver is required.
    • Access these DLSS features under Graphics > Program Settings > Driver Settings > DLSS Override - Frame Generation mode
  • Automatic Shader Compilation (Beta)

I'm old enough to have computers that didn't have any colors other than green and black! My first computer was an Intel 8080 based system running the Digital Research CP/M O/S. :p :p :LOL: When the IBM PC suddenly had color, it was simply amazing!

Yeah, I remember playing the original "Dungeon" on one of those back in the day.... Had a teletype for a terminal.

I had a ADM-3A CRT, and soon added the Heathkit H-14 line printer. Primitive, but it was at least a printing capability. I found a Qume Daisy Wheel printer and build a controller for it, that really improved my print quality!

NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Update 581.80 WHQL. DLSS 4 support for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Additionally, optimizations have been added for the following titles:

Anno 117: Pax Romana, a city-building strategy game set in ancient Rome, features DLSS Super Resolution support for increased performance without sacrificing image quality.
Europa Universalis V, a grand strategy game from Paradox Interactive, also utilizes DLSS Super Resolution for increased frame rates and detail.

DLSS 4 is the latest version of AI-powered upscaling technology that delivers higher frame rates and improved image clarity using the Tensor Cores of NVIDIA RTX GPUs.

NVIDIA will end Game Ready support for GeForce GTX 700, 900, and 10-series graphics cards in October 2025
NVIDIA App: Global DLSS and Smooth Motion Override Switch for RTX 40 Series GPUs
NVIDIA extends Game Ready driver support for Windows 10 until October 2026

Game Fixes

F1 25 — Optimized performance when using DLSS Frame Generation technology. The game now runs more stably and delivers higher frame rates during racing.

General Fixes

Fixed a crash when launching Vulkan-based applications on Intel Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad processors. Programs no longer crash on startup.

Known Issues

Counter-Strike 2: In-game text may appear slightly distorted when set to a resolution lower than the display's resolution.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth: Lighting flickering may be observed on some configurations after updating the driver.

Well, I don't have the Notification Tray 'bug' this time - I had that at the start of this year and it persisted through several driver updates (I used a .reg patch I found on the Windows 10 forum to disable it) and it was finally solved when I did a clean install of Window 11 in April with the latest (at the time) NVIDIA driver.

The problem I now have is that the NVIDIA Control Panel seems to have 'disappeared' with this latest driver update. When I install the driver I only select 'Graphics Driver" (no app) > Custom > Graphics Driver and USBC Driver and 'Perform a Clean Install'. Now, when I right click on the desktop I get what you see in the attached image.

Needless to say, if I follow the instructions I'm right back where I started... an endless loop.

Ah, NVIDIA... you've done it again. I'm now going back to the previous driver (thank you Macrium Reflect) and I'll stay there until the next driver is released.
