Linux +win 11

Hi all
Recently I installed Linux mint to a second hdd works fine .. I re attached win 11 drive but boots straight to mint no choice .. so do I have to go through boot menu every time e I want to use win 11

Normally, Grub, the Linux boot manager, puts an option for Win 11 so during boot you can choose what OS to boot from.
Under Linux open a CMD window and type:
Sudo update-grub

I have Lubuntu and Win 11 on different drives and they are independent and I use the boot menu to choose witch one I want to use. Windows is the first on the priority OS list under BIOS boot options.

I suggest you select your priority OS to boot from on BIOS and use the boot menu to boot the other OS

Optionally you can configure grub to always show the boot menu and with a predetermined time limit such as 10 seconds before it chooses the default boot entry.

Thank you, @Megahertz and @neemobeer rather than installing anything else ill try boot manager I'm going to see if I can edit my photo's and images using Linux .. Win 11 has been a pain lately, but that's another post lol.
