Lock Screen "cards" are actually Widgets running in a different app. If you disable Widgets by policy, Lock Screen loses the cards too.

Ah so it's the widgets then? I'll try that, thanks. I didn't used to mind seeing the weather at the edge of the task bar - when it was the weather and not some financial thing. But if it's linked to the lock screen things then - maybe it'll have to go. Either that or I just have to keep turning the lock screen stuff off again regularly.

I can see the weather out of the window lol. Although the forecast tells you what's happening next and I don't like watching the weather on tv. I wouldn't want to use linux all the time but about 10 years ago there was a really good little taskbar weather thing on linux - I miss that. Can't remember what it was called.My Computers
