Lock the deivce when screen goes off.

Hi All,

What I would like to achieve on Windows 11 is to lock machine automatically as soon as screen goes off. My screen goes off after 5 minutes but the machine is not put to sleep then, only screen is turned off. On Windows 10 then there was reg file:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"DelayLockInterval"=dword:00000000

which was doing that. On Windows 11 it seems that it does not work anymore. My screen goes off and even after 20 second when I press the button it take me to desktop instead of asking for credentials.

Does anyone know how to achieve instant lock while screen goes off on Windows 11?

I have clean install of Windows 11 done. Tried on two different machines...

I have clean install of Windows 11 done. Tried on two different machines...

I just use the screensaver setup for that...

I also have my screen set to shut off after 5 minutes. But I've found it's easier to just turn on the screensaver as shown.
I have that set to one minute, but you can set for however many minutes you want.
Then, when you checkmark the box, after the time you chose passes,
any key press or mouse movement will bring up the logon screen (Lock Screen).

The screensaver settings are at Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen

It seems Microsoft thought it was too simple to call it either the Logon screen or the Lock screen, so they call it both.
