Windows 11 21H2 OS Build 22000.856.
I have an HP Desktop PC with 32 GB RAM, two 1 TB SSDs, Windows 11 version 21H2 Build 22000.493.

I have been experiencing strange anomalies with my Logitech Wireless Keyboard (USB ). I have used three different models of Logitech Keyboards, each with the same issue. I have used a K270, K360, and currently a K545 Keyboard.

Intermittently the keyboard randomly stops functioning for several seconds to a minute or the mouse will seem sluggish and slow to respond to movement. I encountered the same issue with Windows 10.

Windows 11 Power Management is set to Maximize Performance.

I am using Windows Edge Web-Browser, typically have it closed unless I am actively researching a topic.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I don't know yet if this has resolved the issue, but I uninstalled everything to do with the keyboard and mouse and restarted the computer to auto-detect the keyboard and mouse, and then I disabled all options related to Power Management for the keyboard and mouse.

I will update this issue if this resolved the issue I have been experiencing.

Thank you, James, that link looks spot on for my troubleshooting efforts. Thank you very much. I will update this once I have determined the issue is resolved.
Great news, hopefully one or more solutions work! (y)

I have that K350 keyboard (now retired). Anyway, have you looked at updating the firmware and software for said keyboard?

And please don't buy into the hype that you don't need the software. You do if you want the most out of the keyboard.

Thank you to everyone who has responded.

I have gone through all the Power Management and performed DISM and SFC / Scannow and disabled Filter Keys in Windows 11, and I am still experiencing keyboard lag, and at times mouse lag. I have verified that the latest Logitech firmware and Options software are installed. I have removed everything related to the keyboard and mouse from Device Manager and let Windows 11 auto-detect the hardware again.

I have double-checked all the keyboard and mouse settings.

I am thinking this is a Windows issue, but why isn't anything fixing this? Could I have three bad keyboards from Logitech? Every time there is a Windows Update, things get weirder.

I need a wireless keyboard and mouse. I could get a wired keyboard and mouse, but then I can fuss with the tangled wiring, which for me would be as irritating and frustrating as keyboard lag.

Logitech firmware and Options software are installed.
That keyboard uses the "Setpoint" software, not the newer "Options" software. I did provide a link in my first post :)

I'd also recommend you install/reinstall the Unifying software.

Thank you for your reply, Dru2. I get confused easily. Both Logitech apps are installed. I will uninstall both and recheck everything in Settings and hope that it was a conflict having both apps installed if this keyboard (K545) only needs Setpoint. I assume the Num Lock indicator was removed from the keyboard to save battery power. I use the numeric keypad almost as much as I use the alphabetic keys. I also "need" a wireless keyboard and mouse. It's a convenience, and a bit of a necessity when I can no longer sit at a desk as I did when I was younger.

Life is far more complicated than I would like it to be. I want and need simplicity. And that complicates it all even more. Can you say "conundrum"?

Thank you for your help.

It's definitely strange you're having the issues with Logitech devices/software. Many of us here have Logitech devices and their software running under Windows 11 without any issues.

That said, I'm currently running a Logitech's Craft keyboard and MX Performance 2S mouse using the Logitech Options software as the older Setpoint software isn't compatible with my devices. No issues there.

At this point in time, I'm afraid I'm as a loss as to why your issues :(

Thank you, Dru, I appreciate your comments. At this point, I have Logitech Setpoint and Options uninstalled. I really only wanted either app for the visual notification that Num Lock was on. I can easily determine that when I attempt to use the Numeric Keypad. Time will tell if these two apps were causing my issue. I would reinstall Setpoint, but I first experienced this keyboard lag when only Options was installed for my first Logitech Keyboard (K270). And I still suspect that Windows is causing what I am experiencing, not Logitech. Every Windows Update seems to cause more issues than it solves.

I'm not clear what your understanding of things is but as previously told... Logitech Options doesn't support your keyboard. And if you want full functionally of that keyboard, you'll want to install the "Setpoint" (and Unifying) software.

With that, there is something else to check but it's in the BIOS. In the BIOS check "Bootup NumLock" (or something like that) is enabled. Also, check "Legacy USB Support" (or something like that) is enabled.

Boot back to Windows reinstall the Setpoint software, the unifying software. Connect the keyboard and see how thing go from there.

Let me know.

Thank you again Dru.

I can't find where or how to remove Logitech's Unifying Software. I will take a look at BIOS the next time I reboot. I appreciate your suggestions, thank you.

The keyboard and mouse are operating fine without SetPoint. All that I am missing is the Num Lock pop-up assuring me that Num Lock is active (or inactive).

My understanding is marginal. Mostly age and short-term memory loss are my handicap. :)

You're not going to get that back until you reinstall the Setpoint drivers. And if you've not uninstalled the unifying driver, don't.

And I mention understanding as in "Options" doesn't support your keyboard. Also, as to what I should suggest - don't want you messing in the BIOS if you've never done it before :)
