How many here use Malwarebytes, is it a good 'back up' for Windows Security? Also there's an option to allow periodic scanning by Windows Security, any thoughts on this?

It's good and you can set up periodic scanning to suit your needs, I use the free version just to manually run every month or so along with Norton 360 which is my main A/V and A/M

I don't know, that's just how I use it and it works fine. I think it's worth a try. When you first download it you get a couple of weeks of the "paid" version free to try it out with. It can't be bad to have such a big following. I have never been too confident using Windows security, hence I use Norton.

I use the commercial (paid) version. It does a good job of preventing accessing malicious web sites. Windows Defender is my primary AV.

On both Win 10 and my Win11 VM MB premium and defender active.
On premium to have both active you need to turn off the following setting in MB or it will disable Defenders active protection.
