Maps app will not find known addresses when I search for them. I am having the same issue on multiple computers running different builds. Location and appropriate permissions are enabled on all machines. I even tried downloading map for area in the search but no joy. Screenshot attached. Any info would be appreciated...........

It is probably something as simple as overspecifying search e.g. I suspect the house number is stored in a separate data field to the road name.

So it is possibly looking for a road "911 John Dodd Rd."

Have you tried 911, John Dodd for example.

Even Rd. could confuse it - maybe it is Street, or Road?

Try relaxing the streetname search to just say John Dodd to get in general area, and then firm up search.

In UK, I only ever search on post code (zip code in US) and it finds rest

I just tried 2 former addresses I was at and got the failure even though they were correct. Tried with my own address and it went to a body shop in town 2 miles away. Guess when I need something I'll put DeLorme Maps on the computer.

I get that message from the screenshot on every address I search for even though I am 100% positive the addresses exist. I have 3 computers running 3 different builds and all of them have same issue.

I just put in a departure point and a destination in Google Maps [in Firefox, not their app], worked fine and gave me two routes.

Like I said, the addresses are legit. It's the app that's broken........

So I think I have this figured out folks... I have found the same issue of the Map not finding known addresses when I was typing the in the SEARCH BAR... However, it works perfectly if you click the Directions button and then type your address...

[DOH!]
