Memory integrity issue

I cannot turn on this feature on my HP laptop running windows 11, anyone offer any help please?

Short version...

You need to enable virtualization in the BIOS.
You need to turn on: Windows Hypervisor or Virtual machine (I don't remember which), in Programs and Features > Windows Features.

Then see this tutorial...

This is the driver causing the issue.

You'll have to find an updated driver for that device/app.

No I can't tell you what the driver is, you'll have to look it up and see if it corresponds with anything installed on your system.

That's the: Phase One 1394 Digital Camera Driver (x64)

I'm guessing it's the laptop's camera driver?
If we're talking about the laptop in your specs... I'd try HP and if that doesn't help, check Windows Updates for an optional driver for the camera.

Keep in mind, that you'd be better off with some good backup software than with Memory Integrity.
This is yet another half-baked Microsoft idea.
If the driver is incompatible then Memory Integrity won't work. Only problem is that MS has barely signed half the drivers out in the world, yet they still based Memory Integrity on compatible drivers. They have the "cart before the horse" ...so to speak.

If you don't need the laptop camera?, then use Autoruns to remove that driver.
But like I said. I wouldn't worry about Memory Integrity.
I'd get yourself some decent backup software instead.




I can turn on Core Isolation and Memory Integrity... but i don't. Cause I have good backup software.

Try the Memory Integrity / HVCI Scan Tool. Run it from an elevated command prompt:

I see two download options, one for AMD64 and one for ARM64. My system type shows as "64-bit operating system, x64-based processor." Which file should I download or are neither compatible?

If your system is an Intel or AMD based system, you want the AMD64 version. ARM64 is for systems using an ARM CPU (highly unlikely that you have that).

Thank you. It runs but returns a message that the scan failed. Any idea what this means?

That's a DELL Diagnostics driver. It seems that the tool can't scan (query), that driver for some reason.

Go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers
And temporarily rename dddriver64Dcsa.sys to dddriver64Dcsa.sys.off, then rerun the scan.

Or you could use Autoruns (Driver tab) to temporarily disable that driver.

You can also just uninstall DELL Data Vault, which is where that driver came from.
REVO Uninstaller (free) can do that for you and, remove all the leftovers.

Ghot -

Renaming dddriver64Dcsa.sys to dddriver64Dcsa.off and then deleting the associated "driverstore > filerepository" folder did the trick. The Memory Integrity Scan Tool then gave me a "pass" and Core Isolation/Memory Integrity seems to be working.
