Does this mean how many websites i have open at one time?

Not necessarily but if you select the details tab in task manger instead of the performance tab and select the memory column by order of heaviest use you can view which apps are using the most memory at the time. Your web browser will usually be a heavy user and more open tabs/websites will increase the use.

I closed everything still High usage?

You are using 6.7 gb of ram. That is not high memory usage at all .With one browser window open mine uses over 8 gb all the time. The problem is your system is equipped with only 8 gb of ram. In this day and time, IMO the least amount of installed ram one should have installed is 16 gb.

It's high usage for Windows, whereas Ubuntu takes <2GB when idling. But totally agree, you need at least 16GB of RAM these days, ideally 32GB.

8GB is pretty small memory, my system typically is using around 16GB. When I am doing design work, that grows to closer to 32GB.

If you consider the OP's post history, I suspect the issue is far more deep seated than just weak RAM!
More often than not, there seems to be an issue with pop-ups, highjacks or malware of some sort!
He really needs to get somebody to dive hard into his system and possibly wipe it for a clean install!

plus power issues of all kinds & browser redirects, This same memory issue was reported back on 10/4/25 when usage was higher than now.
