I have W11 and Microsoft Excel 2021. We are a group that uses Excel to keep our work organized. Some of us have older versions of Excel, but we manage, exept for a couple things.
1. Our main tab has a list of members with - on separate rows - name, address, task, etc. 20 rows in all for each name.
We want each name (with their rows) to open in a second worksheet same workbook
2. We have a separate "menu" sheet with each person's name only and a link to the second sheet with all the other info.
3. So far so good, except we want each name in the menu to open up in the 2nd sheet on A1
That is, Mary's name with the 20 rows will open in Sheet 2, A1
We go back to list of names in Menu and choose another name to click on, and it does open.
Except, this name opens on Sheet 2 A1 as it should.
Other times it will open way down the sheet and we have to scroll to bring it up.
4. Other names do this also when clicking the link from the menu page to sheet2. But only sometimes.
5. Also, if we scroll way down to 200 sheets of blank rows then go back to the menu page and click on a name, the Sheet2 won't move at all.
However, if we go back and click on another name, that one will land on A1. It seems as if it doesn't go to A1 the first time then it will the next time
we click on another name.
Can this be fixed? I am following the simple link, place in this document, highlight Sheet2 and I can enter A1
2nd situation, pictures. As our group has several projects going, sometimes a picture is used more than once, making the Excel file size larger. Trying to avoid this, by putting a picture in once, then making it appear in another cell without javascript. We can do it with text but not pictures. Is this possible?
