Solved Microsoft Films & TV app opens when waking PC.

The Microsoft Films & TV app (aka Movies & TV) opens spontaneously (on the Purchased tab) when waking my computer from sleep.
I have rebooted, checked the startup apps and looked through registry keys.

What is going on?

Didn't work.

Tried so far:

  1. Reboot
  2. Checked Task Manager startup apps
  3. Checked startup registry keys
  4. Repaired the app

I figured it out. The issue is that a program starts when I use [Space] or [Enter] to wake the PC in Windows 11.

What happens is that, when:
  1. you power down your PC using the Sleep option in the Power Button menu in the Start Menu,
  2. the Start Menu remains open on the sleeping desktop, so that when
  3. you wake your PC with [Space] or [Enter],
  4. Windows sends the keystroke to the Start Menu,
  5. where it is received by the top item of the Pinned apps,
  6. which then interprets [Space] or [Enter] as an [OK] or [Click],
  7. causing it to launch.
This is why Films & TV starts every time I use [Space] or [Enter] to wake from sleep.
