Out of curiosity:
Is there still no tool to export all your Office settings?

Edwin,

Not that I've seen.

For Office 2016+, you could export each Office application's Options Sub-Key within
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0
but that would still not be the whole story. Outlook, for example, also keeps something in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Outlook

Personally, I rely on system imaging instead.

All the best,
Denis

I Revo'd everything, re-installed..., everything seems to be in order.
It kept all my settings, didn't have to re-activate and didn't have to sign in again. (y)

Has anybody around here ever used the Power-User Suite for Office?

It almost seems like an abandoned project..., I scored it for free off of Shareware and it's legit..., it just seems kinda chintzy! 🤷‍♂️

Just wonderin!!!

You should note that sellers like this are being deceptive when they call it Office Professional 2021. What they are really selling are keys for Office Professional Plus 2021. They give it away when they list what it includes. Microsoft Office Teams only comes with Office Professional Plus 2021.

Note that on their site they say that Office Professional 2021 includes:
  • Microsoft Office Word
  • Microsoft Office Excel
  • Microsoft Office PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Office Outlook
  • Microsoft Office Teams
  • Microsoft Office OneNote
  • Microsoft Office Publisher
  • Microsoft Office Access
I am not complaining because I have two copies of Office Professional Plus 2019 and one of Office Professional Plus 2021.

Sometimes there is confusion of why some of these keys work and others don't. Some people say that Office Professional 2021 Plus is a volume license software. It is but not the same as regular ones. Regular volume license software are activated by either KMS or MAK keys. Office Professional 2021 Plus is activated by special volume license retail keys. These keys like KMS and MAK keys can activate more than one copy of Office. They are meant to be used by computer professionals to evaluate software. The keys are not to be given away or sold by the professional who obtains them from Microsoft. These keys are probably are what are being sold online. Microsoft doesn't give the original professional user of these keys an absolute number of time he uses it to activate Office. The problem comes when these keys are sold online. If the keys get used too many times then Microsoft's Activation Servers catch this and deactivates the keys. This probably happens when the online seller tries to sell the same key too many times. That may be why some these sellers suddenly disappear. "Reputable" sellers try to minimize this by limiting the number of keys they sell. If one of their keys does not activate they will just replace the problem key with another one.

Depending on what one's attitude is to this type of software and the chances are it's either pirated (that can usually be recognized if the seller says "Pre-activated") or using keys not intended for normal retail distribution.

If this is OK for you then it's a small amount of money for a reasonable punt -- I've had 3 copies of these cheap editions which are still working and continue to update and remain activated regularly too after 2 years with loads of Windows installs / re-installs and updates. It's certainly cheaper than an Office/365 subscription although that does come with a decent amount of free (i.e included with the subscription) of cloud space. I suppose it's risk to reward ratio. Most on here seem to find these do work - but if they suddenly stop working then you can't really complain.

If you MUST have office and don't need the very latest features OFFICE 2010 (legal copies) can still be found incredibly cheaply both in 32 and 64 bit versions. Unless you are running incredibly sophisticated office type documents I wouldn't worry about the security problems arising from the use of older software if you are on a domestic i.e home computer. Windows 11 WD these days is perfectly good enough to catch nasties from people using macros or VB in the various parts of the office suite.

Office 2010 (EXCEL) is still good enough to retrieve queries from MariaDB / MySQL databases and the Internet at large -- install the 32 bit ODBC connector for 32 bit versions of office or the 64 bit odbc connector for 64 bit editions.

Cheers
