When you redeem the key, download the disc image, (Offline installer), and you'll have no problem installing it anywhere, any time.
When activating it, use the MS account you used to redeem the key! Done!

If anybody installs this one, could you please verify that it installs Teams and not Skype for Business 2016!

After installing MSOffice 2021 using one of these offers I let MSOffice continue to be signed in to the MSAccount I used for this [despite my Windows user account being a Local one].
I also run MSOffice 2021 while I'm online once a month to let it get updates. And I thought doing this was also required to maintain its activation. But I cannot find the MS articles that made me think I had to do these things.
When I just tried to log MSOffice out of my MSAccount, a dialog appeared warning me that I would not be able to edit files until I logged MSOffice back in. [I cancelled the logout for now.]



Can somebody enlighten me?
1 Do I really have to keep MSOffice logged in to my MSAccount to keep editing MSOffice files on my computer?
2 Do I really have to keep MSOffice logged in to my MSAccount for MSOffice to remain activated?
3 Do I really have to keep MSOffice logged in to my MSAccount for MSOffice to get its updates?

2021 just makes you use ms account I believe.
So it would make sense you'd have to be logged in to do anything but update.

Office would install both teams and skype for business.

Bear in mind...,
I installed and activated my cheap version of Office PP 2021 with the MS Account I used to Verify the Key I purchased, then immediately signed out.
I don't have OneDrive, or anything like that, so nothing is synced.
Everything works fine on PC and Laptop.
I can still use all Office Apps online with the same account, or any other account for that matter.

MS started pushing teams hard after 2021 version so teams is auto but yeah skype is eol as far as development goes so did you get 2016 or newer skype for business ?

With the copy I bought last year, No.

Not sure about the copy I bought 2 weeks ago, though..., it's a toss-up right now..., it's either going on my daughter's laptop or my sister's laptop..., haven't heard back from either yet!

I've signed out of my MSAccount in my [cheap] MSO2021 after which
- I was able to create new documents & edit existing ones.
- I ran an Office update. So I am now on Version 2302.
I'll leave things until late April then check that Office still runs without any activation warnings & still allows updates.

So my MSAccount was only required for the initial download, installation & activation after all.

I only turn it on if I need to download a specific template of some sort, or similar.

Don't think you need it for that so what makes you say that
I just used new/ search for new templates and used resume and boom a bunch popped up.

Sounds good!

I look at it this way:
It's a fully blown, verified version of Office Pro Plus 2021, for 30 bucks, I'll do what's necessary!
It's been running flawlessly for over a year, it's more than paid for itself..., I don't look a gift horse in the mouth!

Yeah it's creepyware so I disable all the opt out ware I can.

Back again office 2016 pro plus and a hose of other bundles

Had to do a Repair Install...,
Seems as if Teams gets laid in as an Install-On-Demand thing...



However, sumpthin went a bit whacko on me!!! 🤷‍♂️
I think I need that Office purging tool!
