For these offers, I think you are always dealing with a VLK version of the software and it may or may not work forever. At such a low cost, I think it's worth it for most people to take the chance knowing they may have to buy it again at a later date.

I'm on Office 365 user and I think that it is a great value. That value boils down to what you need and how much you need. For me, I have multiple desktops in my house (myself, wife, son and daughter). And I have a few Mac's in the house too (myself and my daughter). Our ability to install Office on any number of devices is advantageous. Since I only need 4 of the 6 accounts, I provide one to my dad, and I still have 1 sitting around that I could give to a friend or family if i wanted to. And I get the Office 365 subscription discount vi my employer, so it's $69.99 for me t get all 6 accounts.

The real benefit for me is OneDrive. Each of those 6 accounts gets 1TB of oneDrive space. While I use my OneDrive space pretty extensively, the rest of my family really just uses it as an automatic backup location for cell phone pictures and videos. All of us have our mobile devices syncing to our 1TB onedrive accounts.

I've found no other better storage/$ cloud option that offers up to 6TB of OneDrive space for the cost of Office 365. For me, I'm willing to pay the cost of Office 365 simply for OneDrive, having Microsoft Office is just an extra bonus.

Well, considering that the licenses are NEVER sold that cheap by Microsoft would seem to indicate some grey areas must be taken advantage of here.

Microsoft sells office directly via the store. For office 2021 Professional, it's $439.


If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. But for 90+% off retail, I can see why people are willing to take the chance.


Also, consider why these spectacular offers are always on the Office Professional versions which come with volume licensing. You don't typically see the Office Home and Student or Office Home and Business SKU's offering these same super low cost options. A 95% discount on Office Home and Studen would be like $7.

Not touching. Plus, I get Office 365 for free from my school, though I also bought my own 365 Subscription.

Though I have a MSO 365 family subs (worth it for the Onedrive 1 TB storage alone, and payable via the Apple store at least in my country) curiosity got the better of me and I purchased 3 licenses of MSO Pro + 2021 today. Now let's see how long it takes for MS to turn off the switch. :)

My two copies were registered on my MS account on 27 Jan 22 and everything still looks good. Don't know much about MS licensing arrangements but after all this time without any issues I think the licenses must be for keeps.

That's not unusual. And the surprise usually doesn't arise until there's a need to reinstall and re-activate. Say after an OS reinstall.

It's back to $29.99 USD again...

Is there a safe method to reactivate these 1-time-purchase copies of MSO Pro after reinstalling Windows from scratch? Yes, I read the support article at MS i.e. uninstall from the PC and then reactivate after reinstall on a fresh installation of Windows or a new PC)

My previous experience with Office Pro 2016 was it fails and all attempts at reactivation resulted in failure. MS Support told me the licenses have been revoked/cancelled as they are not genuine. They were deleted from my account. Just hope these 2021 keys last a while longer. :)

With Office 365 you can install on as many pcs as you like and have 6 active at any one time. You also get 1 TB onedrive space.

With these dubious licences - one pc only plus no Onedrive.

I have Office 365 Family version (6 users each with 6 activations). I get 30% discount) for around £57 per annum and have it on 3 devices plus a friend has a licence.

Actually with Office 365, you can install Office on an unlimited number of devices. You just can only use one per user account at the same time.

I've been on Office365 for about 6 years. i've given one of the subs to my dad. And with work offering the home discount, I get $30 a year off the sub price, so it's $69 per year for 6 subs. We use OneDrive a lot, so it's worth $69 a year for each account to have 1TB, getting office is just a nice bonus. And we also have Mac's and PC's, so Office 365 gives us copies of both.

Not the case - you can use it on up to 6 devices at any one time (not that you would lol). No limits how many pc installed on.

That's what i said, unlimited number of devices you can install to, you can use 1 copy peer user account at any period of time. Thus 6 devices at one time could be used across your 6 accounts.

365 Personal works with a single account but you can have up 6 simultaneous instances activated on different devices at any one time and and use all 6 at same time.

365 Family can have up to 6 user accounts, each on up to 6 simultaneous devices - theoretically you could have 6x6 = 36 devices all running simultaneously.

A device can be a physical device or a virtual machine

I suppose it may be possible to use 6 separate user accounts and login on each with the same Personal licence - in effect sharing the personal licence with multiple users BUT this is not in accordance with the Personal Licence Terms and Conditions which is for 1 user only.

However, to share Office 365 across multiple users, you are required to pay extra for Family licence, and it is only a nominal increase. Each user account gets 1TB each.

With all these -- "Caveat Emptor". However for around 35 EUR it could be worth a punt for people -- even if it stops working after a year .

I don't think the Software is pirated but where the keys came from / how they were obtained is another matter -- but if you are buying products on an openly free (not proscribed) business and the items for sale are not forbidden for import into your country e.g firearms / dangerous goods etc etc then go ahead.

I got some office 2019 licenses a while ago when they were cheap and they are still working today.

I got a cheap Office 2021 license a year ago for running on Windows server 2022 trial version and that's still working now. (rearm the W2022 trial server after 180 days via slmgr -- works for up to 6 times !!).
