Microsoft PC Manager app now available for Windows 10 and Windows 11

I'd be more interested in megabytes deleted than the number of files. Thousands of 1KB files will not affect a PC's performance or storage.

Just tested on system two month old. so as you can see you get some free space around 80MB, but i really recommend that never but never clear all .bak and .old files

EDIT:
I have make some simple function just now which can help you to get some space and clear junk files

Well I can't even download/install this anyway, no option to Install from the Store, doesn't show in search for the app.
Neither on my Release Preview nor on my Dev Virtual machine.

I used the beta version and installed this and am fairly satisfied. Even though I don't want it to load at startup it has a nasty habit of randomly putting a desktop shortcut icon on the desktop that won't go away. Anyone else ? I've tried all known ways to stop it and it won't behave.

Hey, TZ. To date, it's only available in the Store (by going and getting it). It ain't gonna show up on your machine otherwise. Well, unless MS decides one day to gift us all with the silly thing, in which case I and many others will be joining you in dumping it.

Hi,
All you really need to do is look at current MS storage cleanup recommendations atm to see how ridiculous the feature is and always will be
Offloading unused apps as well seeing it will never ever list a MS app never used hehe

Tested on my Beta VM. Switching the region to US will allow the install, and it even works after switching back to UK.

I had been running the beta since its release and just switched to the US store to get the new full version when I found it wasn't in the UK.

It actually seems not a bad app really, I'm not worried about the Hosts file thing as I've never done anything with that anyway

It's not but you can get it by changing your region to US, install it, then change back to UK

I used the 3.8 version.

The Beta version 3.8 does not touch your Hosts file while the Release version 3.3.15.0 clears its content without any warning or notification, and this without even launching anything in the App, meaning this happens during installation.
Less importantly, the Beta release offers a dark mode.

I run it on my laptop and will add it to my refurbished Dell Optiplex tomorrow. The Dell will be running Norton 360.
