Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade to Windows 11

My current HP Laptop has Wins11 with no issues.

But I have 2 laptops with Wins10 and Microsoft say these are not compatible for Wins11.

Browsing through various topics on YT, a few channels are saying Microsoft support for Wins10 is coming to an end and suggests Upgrading to Wins11.

If this correct regarding the support, how can a Wins10 laptop be upgraded to Wins11 when Microsoft say No.

It was announced by Microsoft a few years ago that Win10 is reaching the EOL/End of Life and critical support would be ending on Oct. 14, 2025 and no new features added. I have used some of the 'tweaks' posted on support forums such as this for upgrading 3 Notebooks that were running Win10, one that had been upgraded from Win7 to Win10 only lasted a couple of months when a Win11 updated removed something that broke it.

There's 4 things I read that are required, one is a later model of Intel CPU or AMD CPU, a TPM 2 [Trusted Platform Module], support for Instruction Sets SSE4.2 and a thing called POPCNT which I never got my head around.

One thing to watch for is that since we only get the License to use Windows there can be changes that will break things as Microsoft desires.

Instead of new machines I have replaced my Win10 Notebooks with Refurbished Win11 units with 1 year warranty, about a third the cost of a new one. There's some reputable sellers such as Newegg.com and Amazon Renewed.
