Solved Missing Windows 11 Toolbar after Windows update.

Have you checked the Asus site for the drivers for your motherboard.

Edit: If this is your motherboard, Asus isn't going to be of much help with drivers. TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI) - Support

Yes that's my MotherBoard :- Of interest, if the 'Other Devices' are shown in the Device Manager, does it mean that they are there NOW?

I've just managed to work out to what those Hardware Ids are.
1. Cannon Lake PCH SPI Controller.
2. Cannon Lake PCH SMBus Controller.

I guess they are something to do with the MotherBoard, so how come my PC seems to be working, but has some component missing, and how can I get the drivers for them.
.... or do I need them?

Yes. Windows knows they are there but without the drivers they can't be used. I could be wrong but I think they are part of the chipset drivers.

@BaJohn I don't know what's going on with the Asus site I found. Those drivers have to be available somewhere. If not I know I'll never buy an Asus motherboard.

I normally don't recommend driver update programs but if you can't find the drivers you may have to use one. I have Driver Easy installed on my old desktop. So far I've only used it to see if new drivers are available for my hardware so I don't know how good it works. If you decided to try it or any driver update program please make an image of your system first.

I believe I need to run "Intel Chipset Device Software", the new name for "Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility", which will setup some INF files, which enables Windows to install the correct drivers.
If I can find my MotherBoard installation DVD that MAY be another way to fix this driver problem.

Even if I get these 2 devices correctly setup, I'm not sure that it will fix the 'microphone setup problem'!

There's some other Intel thingy called IME, which I'm not certain what that does, and I need to investigate that as well.
Please make any comments please, my wife is 'driving' me crazy with "When will you be finished with this?".

These are your Intel Chipset drivers and could be why you can't use the mic.
8086 is always Intel as for the other number , that's the product ID.
If you can find the original DVD for the Asus drivers, you would be able to
install the right ones. I don't know that I would trust installing from other sources.
Did this PC come with Windows 10 ? if so, those are the drivers you should be looking
for. I'll take a look at the Asus site to see if I can't figure out the right ones for your MB.
In the mean time, I did find a source but, there is a warning on this site about installing
their drivers.

That is why I said I don't normally recommend driver update programs and please make an image first. If he has the original motheboard's driver disk, that would be the way to go. @BaJohn, If you do get all the drivers installed I suggest you back them up in case you ever have to do another clean install. The other devices are from Intel so, it would most likely find them.
You can try this app to see if Intel would find drivers that are missing.

The Cannon Lake CPU is from intel 8th Gen and yours is Coffee Lake which is the 9th Gen.

Obviously my 'Audio inputs and outputs' does not include that one.

I've just found my ORIGINAL DVD that was supplied by the company that built my PC for me.
It has lots of drivers on it, so I assume I could point the 'Update driver' to the right folder to (hopefully) fix the missing drivers.

I'll do a backup image, and have a go at that unless somebody thinks that it's not a good idea. (I'll wait 20 minutes).

Is there any way to contact the company that built the PC and ask which driver(s) you
would require to install in order to clear the Other entry?

Although the company is still going I don't think they would be helpful, as mine was a standard build modified in quite a few ways.
They would hardly keep details about the builds of all their customers, especial from nearly 4 years ago.
My Win 10 PC was built in the same way and that's about 11 years old (pre TPM).

The backup is done, so will do some more checking and go for updating the 'Other Devices' in a few minutes.

I understand but, these Intel components would be standard for all Z390 MBs.
Drivers would also be standard at the time. You would only have to update them.

I have just finished doing this, and yes that worked, so then the 2 'Other devices' have gone and 2 items have been added to the 'System Devices'

oddly keeping their A323 and A324 references.
I assume they weren't actually doing anything anyway, BUT it gets rid of the quirk in the device manager.
