Solved Monitor turns itself on


A clean install from Windows ISO would fix it for sure I'm betting. Up side no bloatware, downside all tweaks and apps would have to be redone. That's the nuclear option as last resort.

Tobii is not listed in the task mgr BUT I still believe it's the culprit. I think this Thursday when I am doing nothing else I will factory reset via the recovery menu and use the cloud for the win image (No way tobii would get installed this way right?). I have a macrium reflect image from just a week ago so I can get back to here ok. I've attached the Processes.txt file

it maybe an idea to download the Windows ISO from Microsoft and create a install USB using Rufus.
that way you will be able to install a clean system without any other bloatware from the manufacturer.

just an idea.

That is my plan. I figure if I'm going to spend that much time then I might as well make certain there is nothing but windows installed with no bloatware.

There may be a couple drivers from the Lenovo site you might have to install to get full functionality of things like the keyboard function keys, touchpad, and such.

I don't mind installing the drivers that I really want. I can avoid the bloatware tho.

make a copy of C:/windows/system32/driverstore. place it on USB or anther drive.
that way 'if' any drivers are missing from the standard windows install you can install them from the driverstore backup.
