I am looking for a replacement for Macrium. I have tried Hasleo and the free versions of Aomei and AShampoo, and have the same problem with all three: When I boot to the live USB flash drive, the mouse pointer is not visible. This is for a brand new not yet set up HP Victus laptop. I want to make a fail-safe backup image of the hard drive with all of the factory settings before booting into the OS Setup. I know the touchpad works because I tried a Linux live USB to confirm that the touch pad does work. My Macrium flash drive provides a working mouse only on the laptop that I used to make the live flash drive, but the touchpad does not work on the new laptop with the Macrium flash drive. The HP has an Elan touchpad, same as the old laptop on which the Macrium works. Does anyone have a suggestion? I have had this laptop almost a week and not yet booted it into setup. FYI, I have tried both with secure boot on and off.
Thank you,
Dave
