The icon for Microsoft Edge in my Start Menu and shellapps Folder has been 'blank' for some time - it's not life-threatening, but I just wondered if anyone had a solution, please...

Sorry for being a pain - my Start Menu is now fine, but I now still have both the old and new shortcuts in my shell:appsfolder with no apparent way to delete the old one...

What happens if you right click it and select 'open file location'. Delete it there if showing as a shortcut.

Sorry, no, I rebooted and the rogue item is still there. I'd also run Brink's .bat file from his tutorial on rebuilding icons, but no luck either.
At least my Start Menu is okay, it just niggles me that things were fine straight after I'd done the Edge repair you originally suggested...
