Hi,

I have Off 2021 installed on my laptop which is on and connected to the net 24/7. Updates are set to auto. How do I know when it received an update? When I manually run it, displays Off is upto date.

It would install updates in the background, gonna take a stab and say if it says it's up to date then it's probably up to date

Thanks. I see updates are installed in the background, when I occasionally manually run check for updates, the bar keeps running for a few seconds and displays You're up-to-date!

Updates are installed in the backgtound and, normally, you would not be aware of the update taking place. However, if you are using an Office app when the update has been downloaded, you will be asked to 'close' that app while the installation process carries out the final phase of updating - which is when Office is copying the download(s) to the appropriate location(s).

Thanks for detailed explanation. Usually never have experienced, when I am using it/ Word.

Maybe timing doesn't match...
