MS outlook so slow

I've been using Outlook since it was first introduced. Sometime the send / receive process is a little slower than other times. That can be do to server end slowdowns, network issues, the size of any attachments or the email itself, or Outlook gremlins. Bottom line, there's nothing you can do to speed up the send / receive process from the receiving end. What you CAN do is set Outlook to perform a send / receive every five minutes (as I do) and not watch it while it does it. Like water boiling, it goes faster if you find something else to do while waiting for the process to complete
