MS Paint not working in one account

i have 2 accounts on my son new HP laptop, the default account & his own account, both are admin account

the default account was present already when we set up my son account

MS Paint opens fine in my son account but not in default account

in default account, paint icon shows but when i click on it nothing happens, i try clicking on run as administrator same thing nothing happens

i types mspaint.exe in command prompt it says mspaint not recognize or something like that

That means you have a store version installed.
On the non-functioning account, please attempt a repair option thru
Settings/Apps/Installed Apps/Paint
Click on ...
Advanced Options/Reset or Repair after clicking on Terminate.

no use, still same problem

why it is working in one account & but not other

Go to all apps list and right click Paint and select uninstall. Reboot then go to Store and search for Paint and re-install.
