Hi folks
What's up with Ms stuff these days -- I know security is important but this is getting rediculous on HOME computers -- If I sign in to One Drive or Teams I'm even after entering a password I get a "Verification" request for email "We've sent you a code", then after having to get the mail I enter the code and get ANOTHER request for password etc.

Surely this stuff is BONKERS.

What do I have (even as a Phd - Doctorate - Electrical Engineer from Imperial College London GB ) on my private computer that would be of the slightest use to anybody in the Kremlin or anywhere else.

Security is important but this whole thing just makes a mockery of it.

Cheers
jimbo

They're all going overboard with it, MS, Google, etc..., fighting over mastery to be your ultimate security Savior! 🤷‍♂️

@NavyLCDR

You've served in the Military so what I'm saying here wouldn't apply to you and a lot who have served but :

This is a Word rhyming with "Locks" and starting with "Bol" - Brits probably know that better BTW,or those things called "Little round Objects". Think of a Brit ex Labour politician who likes "Dancing" on BBC 1's competition and has the first name ED.

I'm not normally aggressive by instinct -- but I've been in the Military and know what to do with basic B/S.

It's the OTHER end e.g Bank's etc that control who logs on to their servers etc. --At least in Sensible Western Countries. So Even if you turn off that stuff You can't avoid the other end (the servers) wanting the security,

Cheers

Hi there : Enjoy on BBC1 or BBC iPlayer if you have VPN and outside BBC's "Viewing area".

Extra time now - and what a load of people like --especially Women is when there is a Penalty shoot out to decide the outcome as there are no replays on these games. It has to be decided today.

@Edwin

C'mon Chelsea !!!!!!!

I like Liverpool too -- I HATE Manchester City (not Man Utd BTW).

I like to believe that user authentication goes hand in hand with keeping our user data secure, I seem to hear about megahacks less often these days.

In years past, security went BONKERS bad, nowadays security is going BONKERS a bit better.
