Is there a forum for Word?

I still have an old Word 2003 which is perfect for me. On new installations it asks for an activation key which now is quite simple. You choose to phone and it automatically states that it is activated,


However, on a trial basis when I open a .doc file I get a message in a box which I attach. A few moments later, the document opens anyway. Is there a way of getting rid of this box?

I tried restarting and I still get it

There might be an existing thread on the subject advising you to install Office 2003 in 'compatibility mode' so if you have to post or create a new thread of your own I urge you to address that issue in your explanation & to include a link to the tutorial so your readers don't waste time suggesting it.

Frustrating isn't it, when we get attached to something old, and it just doesn't work like it used to.

My own favorite Word Processor and Text Editor, Batch File Creator, etc. is Wordpad.
I guess I've been using it for way too long. Much longer than 2003. (back to Win 95)

Good Luck, (or just update to a more modern Word Processor, that handles all the old MS Word document types)
I personally use the FREE program, "Libre Office", to handle all the old Word and Excel documents.
